beyonceiamtourgoing2moretimesThe truth is I knew I was going to see Beyonce more than once even before tickets went on sale (because that’s what I do for all her tours…she’s that incredible). But after that amazing show in NY, it’s official. I’ll be seeing her in Atlanta, GA on 7/1 with floor seats that are close to the B-Stage. After that I’ll see her in East Rutherford, NJ on 7/24 with seats directly above the floor (across from B-Stage). I’ll see you there! Can’t wait :)

I just got back to my hotel room and I don’t even know where to begin. Basically I thought Britney killed it. This show was amazing. But you know what, it wasn’t just Britney who made the show what it was. It was the dancers. It was all the special effects and tricks (and man, were there a lot of them). But back to Britney. I was so happy with all the songs she chose to perform (and it was not limited to the set list released by BritneySpears.com). The costumes were effing fantastic. And she looked so beautiful. I am proud of Britney Spears. After having the world witness some personal mishaps, she was able to put on a show like this. I think she forgot what it felt like to perform in front of thousands of people and something tells me the next few shows will be even better.

I am trying to think what others might have thought of the show. I feel like people are definitely going to say that she doesn’t dance as much as she used to, but I was happy with it. I am really excited to go to the next 2 shows and see it all over again. A part of me still can’t believe I flew to New Orleans for Britney, but I am so glad I did. I felt like a part of history.
\

\
I do have to say this though: I think with any concert, the crowd definitely sets the tone. I’ve never really been to concerts outside of New York/New Jersey (I’m from NY) and I must say I thought the crowd could have been more excited. Don’t get me wrong, they were screaming a lot, but not enough. I love the crowds that just go crazy over absolutely everything (like they do in NY). It gives you goose bumps. I’m excited to see the difference in the Atlanta and NY shows.

As for my seat…Fucking amazing. I was so close to the stage that whenever the curtain or video screen went down, it would hit my head. Amazing. Not to mention, my seat was a couch. I had a golden cup holder for crying out loud.
\

\
I was able to take a few good shots (in my opinion lol) and am going to post those now! I’ll post a more detailed step-by-step review after the pictures :)

Here are the last bit of videos I have from my Glee adventure this weekend (I may or may not have seen them more than twice in two days…oops). As I’ve mentioned, I was in the front row pit for all of these videos, so they’re close up but the sound is just ok (and certainly doesn’t do enough justice). I hope it’s like being there :) / More review type stuff and pictures in a bit.

So excited for tonight! This is sadly my third/last time seeing Beyonce on her “I Am…” World tour…previous stops were New York, Atlanta, and now Izod Center.

Fun fact: This is Beyonce’s last show before her 4-night stint in Vegas next weekend! I wanna go…

bsbtourI need to make sure that all my Atlanta Backstreet babies are aware of this: Backstreet Boys will be having a concert on June 3, 2010 in Chastain Park in Atlanta. It’s not even part of a tour but just a single show. I actually went to this very same concert in 2008 (same venue as well). It was a really chill outdoor venue with tables for coolers, food, etc. Food + BSB? Sold.

Tickets go on sale on March 27th. If you’re going to be in Atlanta and you want a little BSB in your life, definitely check it out.

Click here to check out the pre-sale page at Ticketmaster.com.

P.S. Yes there’s only 4 members in Backstreet Boys now :\

vipstoolOne of you asked me for more details regarding the VIP stool seats at the Britney Spears concerts and here it is. These are a limited number of seats that are more so at the front and back of the stage (as opposed to ringside seats which circle all around the three stages). They are excellent seats and I could even go as far to argue that they have an advantage over ringside seats. Why? Because with the ringside seats, the video screen is directly in front of you and you’re only able to see one [blinding] section of the video. I think the VIP stool seats are the perfect closeness/distance from the stage. As for standing, the security had no problem with ringside people standing and moving closer to the stage. I am almost positive that people with VIP stool seats were also allowed to stand. Basically these are amazing seats and anyone with any kind of VIP-anything is in for an amazing time with Britney and The Pussycat Dolls! I hope this was helpful!

In the picture above, VIP stool seats are located right behind the gold chairs (ringside seats).

Screen shot 2010-03-26 at 10.04.54 AMAttention M.I.A. fans! If you’re going to be in the NYC area this summer on July 24th, you should probably check out M.I.A. as part of Hard Fest. I’m thinking this concert will be really fun even if I’m not the craziest fan. Already got my tickets. They are 50 each with some small charge on the side. The website for purchasing tickets is below.

So basically I’m a little upset. I saw Lady GaGa on tour for her original “Monster Ball” show last year, but then she decided to completely re-do the whole thing for bigger arenas. Okay I guess I’m not upset but actually freaking excited as hell. That’s because small venue shows can’t hold a candle to larger venue ones. There are no set-in-stone dates for a second US tour, but chances are very likely once Lady GaGa returns from her overseas tour dates. Obviously I’ll be right on top of that shit waiting right here with you. Until then, here’s some *new* Monster Ball for you from Manchester recently..where she performed for a crowd of 23,000 (*Monster claw*):

IMAG0375Here’s the skinny. I saw Conan O’Brien on Wednesday June 2nd for his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television tour at Radio City Music Hall in NY. I also happened to have bought one of those fancy shmancy packages where you get to meet him and go front row. A cute reception area with food (yes!) followed by sitting in on sound check with Conan and his band/crew/ladies (I always love these type of “behind the scenes” moments…I would). When I met him, it was basically all of us taking turns to have a 1 on 1. I talked to Conan about 1) having lots of siblings and a big family 2) my newborn nephew 3) “I can’t believe you’re, like, right there” (me freaking out just a bit haha). He was really nice either way. Then I got to take a picture with him. So then the whole “package” part was over (with 2 hours before the show) so I went over to the “Top of the Rock” across from Radio City Music Hall and basically saw the most amazing view of Manhattan ever. Eventually it was time for the show. Aaand to be continued.

nickiminajAlso this week (day after Conan), I had plans to see Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, and Drake (and B.oB. and Lloyd Banks). We had front row on the floor. What/where was it? It was called Hot Night 2010 and let’s just say I left the metropolitan NY area (and boy was it worth it). My friend and I were running late (mostly because of hideous traffic) and we arrived right in the middle of Nicki’s set. We saw her do about 3 songs (“Your Love,” “Bedrock,” and “My Chick Bad” later with Ludacris). She also came out during Drake’s set. I was glad I got to see at least some of Nicki (who I went to the concert for). Then eventually the concert was over and something crazy happened. As we’re walking to the car we see a crowd of people admiring a whole lot of buses (cha ching!) We immediately joined and discover a lot of Nicki’s insiders are walking about as well. I’m totally screaming “Nicki” as loud as I can like a crazy person. Somehow I ended up performing Nicki’s “My Chick Bad” verse for her hype men (insiders, entourage, Team Minaj, I Wanna Minaj). I was spot on. Then the lady asked me, “Do you have anything for her to sign?” I gave her my ticket. The lady disappeared into the night and I’m like, “Um…am I going to get that back? lol” She reappears with my ticket stub signed by the only and only Nicki Minaj. It’s a pretty awesome feeling. And I just felt the love from all the other Nicki fans around me. But let me just tell you. This wasn’t the end. We stuck around a little longer and behold: IMAG0473Nicki Minaj joins all of her fans (at least 3 dozen frantic people, myself included). Nicki was walking through signing anything and everything she could (everything from hands, to arms, to boobs, to tickets). She even snapped a few pictures with people (lucky bastards). My interaction besides video performance: I got her to sign my hand again and when she was signing. I told her, “Nicki I love you!!” She responded: “Thank you baby” in her cute Nicki Minaj voice. This night’s a wrap. Needless to say, but how awesome is it that Nicki came out to literally see EVERY fan that was waiting? Too awesome. Oh but I also saw Ludacris and Drake perform (caught some video too). Aaand to be continued.

To come: reviews/pictures/video from Glee x 3, Conan O’Brien, A Nicki Minaj Experience, and yes, Mo’nique and Taylor Swift since April.

In honor of Nicki Minaj:

IT’S BARBIE, BITCH!

(That’s just one of my Nicki faces with my signed ticket. *Faints*)

I just have to write this before I traipse off to the city once again. I was front row pit at Radio City Music Hall in NYC last night for Glee Live (thanks to ticket brokers). I really had low expectations for this considering the crossover from TV to a live stage (“who can sing? who can’t?”), but holy crap was I wrong. I was expecting only a few numbers from the first half of the season. Wrong. They performed everything from “Like A Prayer” to “Bad Romance” to “Somebody to Love.” Rachel and Kurt put on a very harmonious performance of “Defying Gravity.” Rachel re-lived her show-stopping “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” She even wore the same outfit and even walked through the hall (just like in the show). It gets better. She walked right in front of me when going to go back on the stage. Not to mention so did Quinn, Tina, and Brittany (high fived them all except Rachel). As for Brittany, she was so nice and kept waving and smiling (at me :) . They performed “It’s My Life/Confessions,” “Halo/Walking on Sunshine,” Tina rocked it out with “True Colors” and even started crying (saw her wipe her tears even, gotcha!). Puck performed “Sweet Caroline” and “Lady is a Tramp.” Artie performed “Dancing with Myself.”Mercedes performed “Beautiful,” “Bust Your Windows,” and even performed “The Boy Is Mine” with Santana. Shuster even performed “Over The Rainbow” with Puck (with the Glee kids sitting/Rachel admiring with gazed eyes right behind them). This is obviously just the shorter review (and I will fill in the details). All I know is, I was so happy to see the ENTIRE Glee Club performing. Everything from promotional posters to appearances on Oprah made it seem like it wasn’t going to be the full crew, but it was, and that made it even better. These people are so effing talented. Seeing them live really showed me what stars these kids are (Brittany, you are one SICK dancer). Speaking of Brittany..she had a few speaking parts throughout the show just being plain old Brittany…it was perfect. But more perfect: the entire cast recreating moments that I have loved (many, many moments).

Not to mention a guest video (followed by a real) appearance by Shuster and Sue Sylvester. Shu was basically on the video pushing his kids to put on a great show. Sue was doing quite the opposite. She had Cheerios hand out barf bags before the show and later when she came out on stage, Sue said: “Why are you still here?!? What’s wrong with you?!” This reminds me, the show was very much trying to recreate moments from the show…and…well…it worked like a charm. Everything from bringing out a truck during Mercedes “Bust Your Windows” to exact outfits from the show. Pure heaven for any Gleek, that’s for sure. The cast was so cute and smiley at all times, with every smile and glance of the eyes driving Gleeks in the crowd stir-crazy (myself very much included). Saw Sue Sylvester leave in a cop car, Puck leave in his own van.

Let’s talk about the singing. It was fantastic. I’m really in it for the Rachel and Mercedes powerhouse vocals, but everyone ELSE was on point and entertaining too. Finn and Puck? Talented guys with great voices. Does TV-autotuning sometimes make us weary? Of course. But talent nonetheless. I’ve been reading about the possibility of a back up track and to be honest, there definitely was something. But from everything I could see (and I am really good at spotting lip syncers), they were mostly singing live (and sounding good too).

More to come. Here’s some pictures. I’ll fill in more soon.

lady_gaga1You know that Lady GaGa tickets to her U.S. summer Monster Ball tour have been selling like crazy right? The Lady’s 3 shows in NY’s Madison Square Garden sold out within 1 hour (and you can find a lot of these tickets on the broker/scalper websites now…SO MESSED UP!).

But some markets/second shows don’t go on sale until tomorrow morning, so if you’re in Massachusetts (second Boston show), New Jersey (in Atlantic City on July 4), Washington, Montanna, or Vancouver BC, make sure you wake up early to get your hands on Lady GaGa tickets tomorrow morning at 10 AM. This is the only way to get tickets at regular price (I suggest the floor seats if you can, but any seat will be well worth it).

Click here to visit the Ticketmaster.com page, where you should go tomorrow at 10 AM for regular priced tickets in these markets.

They WILL sell out fast, so make sure you refresh that page at 10 AM and POUNCE on those tickets.

P.S. Still waiting for GaGa to announce Florida and Georgia shows. I’m almost posititve it’s just a matter of finalizing the details. How can you go on a tour and skip the two biggest states of the southern east? You can’t.

And if you can’t get your hands on Lady GaGa tickets, keep checking Badnan.com for news about how you can win 1 of 5 pairs of tickets to select shows across the country. Stay tuned ;)

toxicvipI had “Toxic VIP” tickets to Britney‘s show in Atlanta on Thursday and I know a lot of people are wondering what exactly it is. I’ll tell you that now! The toxic VIP package includes an exclusive messenger bag and commemorative ticket stock (fancy ticket) as well as a pre-show party, backstage tour, and a parking ticket. You also get some silly accessories like buttons and a key chain. The biggest perk of the Toxic VIP is the excellent floor standing seats (right in front of one of the side stages). These tickets are in front of the general admission section of the floor and right behind the ringside seats on the floor. The pre-show party was just a room where you hung out and ate some appetizers (it was a little tacky)…there are also some people who open the show who hang around here (super friendly people who just want to make sure you’re getting the most out of your experience). The highlight was definitely the backstage tour where we got to see wardrobe, hair & makeup, and even got to see some of the dancers for the show. We also got to see the crew setting up the stage for a bit (and got to preview our seats). Toxic VIP promises great seats (especially when Britney comes to the stage you are near). If you have Toxic VIP, you are bound to have an excellent time. I know I did! I hope this was helpful to everyone else who has also purchased Toxic VIP experience packages.

Remember to check the email that you bought your tickets with for the details on your VIP package. All the info I needed about the merchandise, parking, where to meet, etc were all in the emails. Have an amazing show (I know you will)! :)

In 3 hours I’m supposed to be in South Beach, FL to take part in Pepsi’s Superbowl Fan Jam featuring Rihanna and Justin Bieber. I was “casted” for this event and it was going to be on TV. More importantly, these tickets are closest to the stage and they were FREE. First time in my life I’ve ever been hooked up like this and I miss it. Why?

Started driving toward South Beach (from Atlanta) and forgot a medicine prescription at home. I was so tired by the time I came back that I just passed out. And that, my friends, is officially the dumbest reason ever to miss an event like this…especially when it’s this close and this free. Feeling like a failure, but there’s always tomorrow.

And Black Eyed Peas on Saturday.
